Pembelajaran secara tradisional dengan menggunakan buku teks dilihat tidak memotivasi pelajar dalam aktiviti pembelajaran. Berbalik daripada itu, satu inovasi komik dengan penggunaan dwibahasa iaitu bahasa Arab (secara transliterasi) dan bahasa Melayu dibangunkan bertujuan menambahbaik aktiviti pembelajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya di UiTM Kelantan. Satu kajian dijalankan untuk meninjau sejauhmana penggunaan Komik Kaifa Haluka (KKH) mampu dijadikan medium mempelajari bahasa Arab. Seramai 127 responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar yang mengambil kursus bahasa Arab elektif kod TAC101& TAC151 mengambil bahagian. Data dikumpul menggunakan soal selidik daripada aplikasi google form untuk memudahkan proses analisis. Berdasarkan tinjauan, KKH ini mampu memberikan impak yang baik kepada pelajar untuk mempelajari bahasa Arab. Tambahan daripada itu, ia juga berupaya meningkatkan pencapaian pembelajaran mereka. Dari segi kesenangan penggunaan, pelajar sangat bersetuju bahawa penggunaan Qr Code memudahkan proses pembacaan. Secara kesimpulannya, majoriti pelajar bersetuju KKH merupakan alat yang boleh digunakan untuk memudahkan pembelajaran bahasa Arab mereka. Sumbangannya dapat dilihat apabila mendapat respon penerimaan positif oleh pelajar UiTM Kelantan sebagai bahan bantu belajar.

This innovation is needed as Malaysia population is fast moving towards aging population. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific's 2016 population data sheet shows that as of 2016, Malaysians aged 60 and above comprise 9.5 per cent of the population. This is projected to increase to 14.4 per cent in 13 years' time and nearly a quarter of the population (23.5 per cent) by 2050. So, it is sooner rather than later that we will become an ageing or aged nation. Risk of old age is prevalence as the population grows older. Poverty is one of the unfortunate effects that could happen if a person failed to plan for their retirement. It will also adversely affect the economic growth of Malaysia. This is because huge allocation of budget that could be channeled for the country’s development and achieving higher standard of living has to be allocated to the nursing care-centre of the aged or subsidizing medicines. Ironically, we have to manage this risk now. Therefore, we invented Risk of Old Age Diagnostic Kit – a tool that diagnoses the risk of old age. It is novel as it is created on the ground of strong research and quantitative findings. In a survey of 156 academic staff of UiTM, the research reports that the level of preparedness towards retirement is still at a moderate level. This calls for more awareness campaign on how to manage risk of old age. The findings of this study inspired us to innovate Risk of Old Age Diagnostic Kit. Its impact is huge as it could help highlight and address the needs for creating more awareness and assistance towards happy retirement. In return, could potentially save RM millions on tax payers’ money. Hence, it has high potential to be commercialized as consultancy service.

An electronic health atlas (E-Health Atlas) in Selangor is an innovative map collection website that has much information about the health, healthcare and disease epidemiology. Selangor is one of the states that has a rapid rate of physical development, but it has also a main problem relating to population and health issues. Educating the local communities on health awareness through digital platform is one of the applicable methods to control and reduce the risk of disease. This proposed E-Atlas is built to create the awareness among the locals about the healthcare concern in Selangor. This innovation shows that every existing website that have been reviewed shows that there are no fully e-atlas elements of health established in Malaysia, especially in Selangor. Thus, the users have suggested to develop an atlas of health for local health awareness and requirements. The proposed e-atlas system comprises several significant sub menus regarding on the health and disease aspects such as waterborne diseases, vectorborne disease, facilities, and others. General info on the Selangor healthcare features with better cartographic elements are also encompassed. Result from system testing revealed that 85 per cent of respondents gives the positive feedbacks on this invention due to its a practical and helpful tool.

The Information Skills Class or known as Kelas Kemahiran Maklumat (KKM) is an Information Literacy Program conducted by librarians to provide guidance and instruction on library information to users. This KKM is offered to users with systematic and appropriate modules to support learning and research of the university. The operation of KKM involves the management process that includes registration, class handling, and calculation of KKM attendance statistics data for UiTM Library in Malaysia. Previously, the KKM management was done manually in recording participant attendance information data, calculation of attendance data and attendance statistics according to details; gender, branch campuses, modules, programs and faculty. This manual KKM management causes problems with inaccuracies in the records obtained and inconsistent performance measurements. The proposed solution for the cause of this problem is the development of a system that able to record the presence of KKM participants called the e-KKM System. The in-house system develops to facilitate the management process of KKM conducted face-to-face or online. The class registration process now becoming effective and accurate. This system allows management to monitor the attendance statistics of Information Skills Classes for 38 UiTM Malaysia Libraries in a holistic manner. The system also improves work process efficiency as well as more systematic and secure data storage. Internal expertise utilizes to develop systems that are capable to meet the needs of data display and performance measurement of the department. This system has the potential to be commercialized to libraries that conduct information literacy classes, or equivalent activities. In addition, external organizations or agencies in the public or private sector that requires a system to record attendance data for the organization of training, courses, or important seminars can use this system in their respective organizations.

Pengguna menghadapi kesukaran mencapai maklumat perpustakaan dengan cepat dan mudah, ini adalah kerana waktu perkhidmatan perpustakaan terhad sehingga 11.45 malam, di mana sebelum ini waktu perkhidmatan perpustakaan adalah 24 jam. Pengguna yang tinggal di luar kampus dan mengambil pembelajaran jarak jauh juga mengalami masalah yang sama kerana pengguna tinggal jauh dari perpustakaan. Selain itu, terdapat aduan dan maklum balas pengguna PTAR dari Unit Komunikasi Korporat dimana, pengguna tidak dapat mengakses Pangkalan Data Atas Talian sehingga menyebabkan pengguna berasa kurang selesa kerana perlu datang ke perpustakaan. Dengan ini, kumpulan telah membangunkan UiTM Digital Library App dengan menggunakan kepakaran ahli kumpulan, merekabentuk pangkalan data dan mewujudkan attributes bagi field kategori data. Objektif kumpulan adalah, membantu pengguna mengakses maklumat perpustakaan dengan cepat dan mudah melalui telefon bimbit, boleh dicapai 24 jam dan dapat menyampaikan perkhidmatan mesra pengguna. Ia juga dapat memperbaharui cara kerja kearah yang lebih profesional dan membantu meningkatkan imej jabatan. Antara ciri-ciri UiTM Digital Library App adalah menu paparan yang lebih kemas dan teratur, boleh diakses di mana-mana, dan UiTM Digital Library App ini menekankan elemen IR4.0. Tambahan pula, dengan adanya UiTM Digital Library App, ia dapat memenuhi keperluan hala tuju IR 4.0” di mana mobile app merupakan salah satu tonggak Industri 4.0 dibawah kategori Internet of Thing (IoT) dan Aplikasi UiTM Digital Kampus yang dibangunkan oleh UiTM bagi menyokong pembangunan digital kampus dan memudahkan pengguna mengakses semua perkhidmatan maya UiTM. Di dalam aplikasi UiTM Digital Kampus juga terdapat pautan UiTM Library yang membolehkan aplikasi ini di instalasi terus melalui telefon bimbit pengguna. Antara sumbangan UiTM Digital Library App kepada jabatan dapat dilihat dengan penjimatan masa semasa proses pencarian maklumat perpustakaan dan kepuasan hati pelanggan amat diutamakan serta teknologi adalah penyokong utama kepada perlaksaan ICT jabatan yang lebih cekap dan efisyen.

BaseMaThs is alternative innovation during COVID-19 pandemic built based on the e-Numearcy prototype (winning silver in K-Innovation 2019) used for primary school students which has been adapted from the numeracy comprehension model. Base L-T MaThs is an application that emphasizes on the application of games in basic mathematical operations and this application was created in order to coincide with the current scenario in which the whole world is experiencing COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the pattern of the learning system in the past could not be carried out as everything has to be done online. So, in order not to bore students, especially in primary school level, a game was created for students to understand the concept of mathematics, namely multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. The level of understanding of numeracy involves 4 basic levels that are multicontextual. The multicontextual element is to understand the procedures and terminology of Mathematics by lexis concept and trajectory image (image representator) by symbol. The lexis
concept is represented from co-accurance words in the term. This multicontextual aspect is one of the unique features in Base L-T MaThs for expose teachers and students to meaningful mathematics teaching and learning during pandemic Covid-19. The concept of teaching in this application is supposedly fun and entertaining. In schools, teaching of mathematics recurs on drilling, memorising facts and procedures.
As a result, learners may not be able to solve non-routine problems. In short, it is one way to attract students to learn better in a cheerful manner. Besides that, this application also allow students to provide answer in or outside the classroom. The model of the stage of the numeracy understanding is introduced to identify the extent to which pupil’s
numeracy level. There are four stages have to be passed by each pupil to achieve the understanding in numeracy. The first stage: de-coding, second stage: meaning making, third stage: using and fourth stage: analysis. All these aspect will be supported with lexis concept and symbol. Numeracy is a part of mathematics and are closely related to each other. Specifically, numeracy is the ability to do the basic mathematical operations and understanding the simple mathematical ideas and apply the knowledge
and the mathematics skills in everyday life. It is important to learn the numeracy knowledge at an early stage because it covers the aspect of identifying numbers, basic of calculation, measurement, geometry, probability and statistics. Understanding of numeracy in primary schools determine the excellence at a higher level. This is because with the understanding of numeracy in the classroom, the pupils can apply the
knowledge of numeracy in everyday life.

Virtual Reality Bab Badan Perundangan Persekutuan (Parlimen) Bagi Subjek Pengajian Am di Kelas UMT : Satu Pendekatan Revolusi Industri 4.0 Dalam Pendidikan di Era Vuca

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi dan aplikasi sistem pembelajaran baharu yang dibina dengan menggunakan teknologi realiti maya iaitu Virtual Reality (VR) untuk memudahkan proses pengajaran dan meningkatkan pemahaman Bab Badan Perundangan (Parlimen) bagi subjek Pengajian Am. Satu prototaip perisian instruksional berasaskan VR Parlimen telah direka bentuk dan diuji dalam kalangan 23 responden di kelas UMT di Kolej Tingkatan Enam Shah Alam. Satu set soal selidik kuantitatif dibentuk dan diedar untuk mendapatkan data awal, manakala satu set temubual kajian kualitatif juga diberikan kepada responden. Pengkaji telah menggunakan kaedah pemerhatian, soal selidik, temu bual, ujian pra dan pos.Ujian Pos menunjukkan hanya 3 orang responden (13%) yang berjaya menguasai bab ini. Akan tetapi setelah penggunaan VR selama 2 minggu , pencapaian pelajar dalam ujian pos telah mencapai (96%) iaitu seramai 22 orang responden telah berjaya memberi idea dan huraian yang tepat untuk soalan struktur. Manakala seorang (4%) sahaja yang telah memberi idea yang betul . Selain itu semua responden (100%) telah bersetuju dalam soal
selidik bahawa teknologi VR menyenangkan proses membuat ulangkaji dan minat terhadap bab ini telah meningkat. Maka VR merupakan bahan bantu mengajar yang efektif guru-guru sebagai tarikan kepada pelajar untuk meningkatkan kefahaman dan pencapaian kecemerlangan dalam mata pelajaran Pengajian Am.

Sejajar dengan arus perdana serta keperluan dalam pendidikan pada masa kini, pembelajaran Abad ke-21 (PAK21) telah diterapkan di sekolah sebagai proses pembelajaran yang berpusatkan murid. Dalam projek membentuk organ pernafasan dan organ perkumuhan yang diselia di bawah panitia Sains, murid perlu fokus pada setiap organ-organ dalam tubuh badan manusia bukan hanya sekadar melihat gambar tetapi murid dapat membentuk sendiri organ tersebut serta dapat menerangkan fungsi-fungsi setiap organ yang dipelajari. Dengan kaedah membentuk organ menggunakan plastisin, murid dapat diterapkan dengan sifat sabar serta fokus dan teliti. Penggunaan plastisin yang berkos rendah dapat memberi peluang kepada setiap murid tanpa mengira latar belakang keluarga untuk menghasilkan bentuk organ yang dipelajari.

Most of the students have difficulties in learning IT (Information Technology) subjects, especially when it comes to PC (Personal Computer) maintenance. Some students confuse with the components of the PC. Hence, IT Box Academy was created as an educational website that is intended to help students understand IT subjects. This website provides a lot of useful knowledge of IT. Observation and survey were conducted initially to identify students' problems in comprehending IT subjects, especially subjects with technical terms. Additionally, a set of storyboards is used to design the website. The uniqueness of this website is that it is not only guides the students about IT and provides knowledge, but it also has various kinds of games such as quizzes, word search games, puzzles and more interesting games. This website also provides dictionary and glossary of IT terms. Students can refer them if they did not understand or does not know certain words. This website's main language is English, for that reason, it can be commercialized all around the world, primarily for the students that are learning IT subjects and that are interested to learn IT.
